Effective from 12 January 2016, only the most current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) will receive technical support, compatibility fixes and security updates. At the time of writing, version 11 is the current version. Older versions will no longer be supported.
The latest version will offer improved security, increased performance, better backward compatibility and support for the web standards that power today’s websites and services. Microsoft encourages customers to upgrade and stay up-to-date on the latest browser for a faster, more secure browsing experience.
If you continue to run an old version of IE, your computer may be exploited by malware and modern websites may not render correctly. Regular security updates by downloading the latest version will help protect computers from malicious attacks and ensure you take advantage of the latest in website technology, upgrading and staying current is important.
Darwin Web Design recommend the use of either Firefox or Google Chrome (for both Mac and Windows users), they are always very stable browsers and are preferred if you use an online editor to update your own website. If you are a Windows user and prefer Internet Explorer, please see the announcement from Microsoft which provides more details including links on how to update to their latest version.
